Course Objectives

After completion, participants should be able to:

  • Operate an ultrasound machine and probe to obtain images
  • Recognize normal and abnormal ultrasonographic anatomy
  • Perform ultrasound-assisted vascular access and other procedures
  • Integrate POCUS into clinical practice

Our instructors have been teaching POCUS since 2005 to physicians and advanced practice providers in Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, and Critical Care. The course includes lectures and hands-on scanning with live models. Participant number is limited to ensure personalized instruction, with a maximum participant-to-instructor ratio of 5:1.
